United Way of Greater Cleveland has chosen to highlight TIS as one of their partner organizations in the 2010 campaign video.  This video is shown at every large company that participates in the annual United Way campaign - meaning thousands of people will be seeing this 3 minute video.  This is a great honor and opportunity for our school!  Click here to see the United Way video highlighting Clevelanders working to make Greater Cleveland greater...with their own two hands.

During the summer and fall, volunteers are making progress on creating an edible forest garden.  This garden is designed  to produce a self sustaining crop of plants that will help feed the TIS school and community while providing teaching and learning opportunities for community members of all ages.  The specific design is a layered Forest Garden, producing differing varieties of food most months of the year.  Read more and find out about volunteering here.

TIS has received a significant Federal Dissemination grant to document and share its academic best practices. We will be working with professional videographers to create a series of short films capturing our intergenerational approach to teaching and learning, among many other subjects. We will also be launching an interactive online community for educators from around the world to learn more about our work at TIS and share their educational insights. Stay tuned for more information about this work as it develops!
